DJ Equipment Ireland | The Do’s and Don’ts

DJ Equipment in Ireland is the same as anywhere in the world. Having said that, there are a number of factors you should consider if you are a DJ, or planning to be a DJ in Ireland. Equipment varies from club to club, as does the knowledge of the club owners and managers. We suggest that you develop your own strong skill set to allow you to perform in any club environment, with any DJ equipment in Ireland.

If you are an international DJ you must consider that electricity is supplied in a different voltage and as such you will need a converter to allow for this variation. You will also find that many nightclubs do not supply DJ Equipment, and when they do it is often limited to an old CDJ and mixer.

We strongly advise that you consult other DJs in the area and supply nightclubs with a rider of equipment specifications before your gig. It is also important that you have a back-up plan. Many managers will not be tech-savvy and may supply inferior replacements for your demands. Always have a spare turntable and mixer nearby – it may just save your show!
